"Technology" a poem by Ian Richardson

"Technology"

It’s a rise and a fall
Right?
It took us out of the dirt
And into the nuclear age.
No blink space,
The eyebrows were melting before
There was time.
Useless now anyway,
The eyes had gone a long time ago,
With the frontal lobes.
Thanks Reality TV.
But it’s not the way it has to be
You know it isn’t because you’ve seen,
The sick stand again,
And be seen.
You’ve seen what it can do
In the right hands,
And how would you stretch your fingers?
I’m not talking about ergonomics.
